Discovery and trust

Discovery and trust · Tested subset

Find devices on reachable networks and confirm identity on both sides.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Local discovery · Tested subset

The current app includes local discovery and manual address entry.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Security-code pairing · Tested subset

New devices require matching security codes on both sides. Trusted reconnections verify the existing identity.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Device names and local labels · Tested subset

Device names can be changed. A local label does not change the peer identity.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Files and messages

Files and messages · Tested subset

Share messages, photos and files in one conversation.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Messages and photos · Tested subset

Keep local conversation history and select multiple photos.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

File transfers · Tested subset

File cards show progress, percentage and completion state.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Platform downloads · Tested subset

Current packages are available for Android, macOS, Windows and Linux.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Four platform packages are published with verified sizes and SHA-256 hashes. Windows and Linux startup checks completed.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Bluetooth short messages · Tested subset

Bluetooth carries short text and receipts. Files wait for a network connection.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Validation and releases

Validation and releases · To do

Continue refinement by platform and real usage feedback.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Network compatibility · To do

Local networking prefers QUIC with bounded TCP fallback.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

The owner manually confirmed TCP messaging and file transfer from a hotspot to the home network.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Connection recovery · Tested subset

Trusted reconnection and existing-task recovery are checked against real scenarios.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Installation and updates · Tested subset

Download links, checksums and instructions match the current packages.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Guides and feedback · To do

The help page covers the current interface and device management.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

Corresponding implementation and records exist in current source, public packages or owner-reported manual checks.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.

Open-source foundations · Tested subset

devkit source is public. Check individual components for integration and licenses.

Current client; devices and scenarios are validated separately.

Completed validation

skstu/devkit is public with component source, integration instructions and license notices.

Current limitations: This does not establish acceptance of every platform pair, device, background condition or network.
